David Field was joined by Paul Chisnall, Executive Director of the British Bankers Association (BBA), in an exclusive video interview with Operational Risk and Regulation magazine to discuss the operational implications of the Independent Commission on Banking (ICB) report.
The key area of discussion is looking at whether the ICB should have more closely considered other separation models for its final report on financial stability in the UK.
David Field discusses the operational risks banks will have to deal with under the ring-fencing proposals in the ICB's report, stating;
"What banks are facing is quite a dramatic change in operating model, and that carries with it (in terms of the road map in getting there) some very significant operational risk if it's not handled properly."
The interview follows the phenomenal success of David’s blog, ‘How high is your ring fence’ published earlier this month.
