Get the full picture with Total Tri-Party

With the launch of Total Tri-Party, Rule Financial unveils a revolutionary product designed to provide collateral management professionals with the complete, global picture of their portfolio's exposure in any multi-agent situation.

The only software of its kind, Rule's Total Tri-Party collects, collates and evaluates the data on collateral positions from each of the tri-party agencies, giving global visibility across liabilities and enhancing the ability to manage risk.

Using state-of-the-art GUIs, the programme allows collateral managers to pinpoint stocks precisely while rooting out inconsistencies in price, valuation or eligibility. The system's ability to analyse lets it scrutinise the past, the present and the future of your portfolio at the touch of a key:

THE PAST…with access to a full archive of prices and movements Total Tri-Party considers trends based on detailed global intelligence gathering…THE PRESENT, with real-time reporting on collateral allocation positions from all tri-party agents, displayed individually or combined… THE FUTURE, with a powerful forecasting function for enhanced risk management.

The Tri-Party Advantage

As collateral managers have recently discovered, there are many advantages in a tri-party arrangement: operational efficiency in the front and back offices, intraday margining, the usage of small collateral lines, automatic substitution and reduced credit risk to name some of the most obvious, all of which have contributed to the continued rise of tri-party over bilateral lending.

Drawbacks to tri-party dealing were few but crucial and included lack of visibility and inconsistencies in static and market data. Until recently, tri-party agents provided limited reporting of collateral allocations to the principals, but now under Basel II and in current market conditions, counterparties are demanding - and getting - daily or intraday feeds of allocations so they can monitor exact collateral exposures.

Total Tri-Party brings together all the data into one place: collateral allocations from the agent, underlying transactions from the front office and depot transfers from Operations, which it combines with the bank's static and market data allowing you to use the custom built GUIs to see the broader picture or to dive down into the detail and manage your portfolio in an intuitive way.

As Rule's Securities Finance Partner David Little explains:

Total Tri-Party has evolved from our spotting a gap in the market. After the volatility of the past 12 months who would wish to manage the risk associated with collateral allocations in a situation where transparency was at a premium? At Rule we've been working in this domain for most of the decade and that specialisation is now bearing fruit.”
